Action-oriented guidance and real-world solutions based on extensive experience as a foreign entrepreneur settled in Switzerland.

As the founder and owner of curaVer, Patrick Vergult has been a trusted partner for international companies settling in Switzerland for over 25 years.

"I founded my first software business in Belgium back in 1991. Having handled various assignments in Switzerland throughout the 90s, I developed a deep appreciation for the country and chose to make it my permanent home. This journey led to the birth of curaVer. Today, we specialize in providing expert support for both local and foreign businesses operating in Switzerland."

In 1991, Patrick Vergult arrived in Switzerland as a freelance software engineer to support ABB’s LEP100 project at CERN. After successfully delivering results in Geneva and later for the pharmaceutical industry in Basel, he founded his own Swiss branch in 1997. Committed to excellence, he complemented his technical background with specialized studies in Swiss business administration and accounting to navigate the local legal landscape with precision.

The Swiss branch evolved into the legal entity ELSE Automation AG in 2001. During this time, in 1999, Patrick also established curaVer GmbH in Baden. His vision was to pass on his expertise and first-hand experience to international business owners seeking to settle and grow in Switzerland.

ELSE Automation AG grew into a leading regional player in Basel and Baden. After attracting interest from a French conglomerate in 2011, the company was integrated into the VINCI Group as Actemium in 2013. Patrick led Actemium Switzerland and its 220 employees as Managing Director until mid-2022.

Since July 2022, Patrick has dedicated his full attention to growing curaVer. Today, the firm supports numerous international businesses as they successfully establish their presence in Switzerland.

Entrepreneurial spirit meets digital expertise and decades of practical Swiss accounting experience.
